Senior man being instructed on modern technology by Savvy Tech Grandma

My name is Luanna Rozentals (also known as Savvy Tech Grandma).

I started out in a low-paying office job and felt stuck with no clear direction. Over time, I realized I had a natural interest in technology and a knack for figuring things out. When a local program in Tucson, Arizona offered training for people looking to increase their income, I enrolled in their technology track - and that decision changed everything.

I went on to earn my A+ Certification, followed by my Network+ Certification. By then, I was completely hooked. I continued taking online classes and eventually earned my Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at the age of 50.

Throughout my journey, I noticed two things. First, people were often surprised to see a woman “of a certain age” working in technology. Second, many people my age felt overwhelmed or left behind when it came to tech. That’s when I developed a deep passion for helping those who consider themselves “technology challenged.”

After retiring from my position at Hewlett Packard, I decided to turn that passion into something meaningful. I started a YouTube channel and created this website to help people learn technology in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

As a retired “tech nerd,” I’ve also explored creative tools and now enjoy making and selling products using both traditional and technology-based methods.

Please feel free to explore the site and see what you can learn. If there’s something you struggle with, let me know—I’d love to help by creating clear, easy-to-follow resources just for you.

I also have a crafty side you can check out here.
